Kale & Sweet Potatoes Sharing Space

Hello Friend 👋🏻!

Here’s a glimpse in the garden today, September 16, 2026.

Our sweet potato slips and kale were planted about the same time in early summer. The companion planting worked as I hoped; the little kale trees grew tall enough to float above the sweet potato vines before they covered the soil.

I’m so happy 😀 with how they are working together and plan to do this again next year.
